This coffee comes from the eastern highlands of the Chauve District of Papua New Guinea. A co-op of less than 400 members work together to produce this high quality coffee and leverage their selling power. These small members have anywhere from just a couple coffee trees, to a couple hundred, and refer to them as coffee gardens rather than farms. Most members harvest, depulp and ferment on their own land and then transport their crop to their mill in Gorka for drying.
